According to reports, Lille is currently in negotiations to sign Black Stars defender

Alexander Djiku, the 28-year-old captain of Strasbourg, has had another impressive season, making 31 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists. His outstanding performance played a crucial role in helping Strasbourg remain in the topflight, finishing 15th on the log with 40 points.

Reports from France suggest that Lille is keen on signing Djiku and has opened negotiations with his representatives. The club is reportedly eager to acquire his services as they look to build a formidable team for next season.

Despite the transfer talks, Djiku has been named in the Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar.
