The 36 year old has been without a club since heading out in different directions from Ghanaian topflight outfit Legon Cities FC toward the finish of last season.

The Ghana’s untouched top scorer, scarcely any weeks prior repeated his excitement to play for the ‘Kum Apem’ outfit before he will at last announce his retirement from football during his life account book send off.

Nana Yaw Amponsah in response, has gladly welcomed that statement from the former Sunderland star and added he is always welcome to join the Porcupine Warriors.

“Everybody knows how I have been waiting for him, I tried once but it was difficult to get him. We will keep trying and when he is ready, he knows that the doors will be open,” Amponsah said.

“Imagine Kotoko going for Champions League and we have Asamoah Gyan in our squad and he leading the attack with Mbella and Mfegue on either side of him that is the Champions League trophy right there”

“So, I am really looking to that day, I keep telling you that if even it is going to be just one match, he should make us proud.” He added
