Giants Asante Kotoko ended their winless run in opposition to Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park on Saturday as the Porcupine Warriors run away with an awesome 2-0 victory over the Ogya Boys.
Cameroonian Mfegue Omgba registered the opening goal for the red-jerseyed Porcupine Warriors on the 19th-minute mark when he headed home a corner kick from the right.
With the game heading to the death minutes, Abdul Ismail Ganiyu flighted in a ball from the Kotoko half as Prosper Ogum’s men attempted to discover the insurance goal. The long ball fell to teenager Clinton Opoku whose header met the run of alternative Evans Adomako. However, Joseph Addo zoomed out of his place to make a first-time grasp of the ball but he neglected as midfielder Richmond Lamptey appeared on the scene to end off the ball to seal the victory for Kotoko and padlocked the lips of domestic fans.
