AshantiGold SC got robbed by some group of armed men last midnight on their way back to Obuasi after a defeat against champions, Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League match-week 21

Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold SC were gone after by a pack of furnished looters on the after Hearts of Oak game on Sunday evening.
The said horrendous occurrence happened at Assin Endwa in the Assin North District in Central Region however no setback was recorded.
Club official statement on Facebook reads;
“We got attacked by armed robbers on our way back from Accra at Assin Endwa.”
“The robbers shot three bullets at the front bulletproof glass as the team driver meandered his way through a terrible scene of gunshots.”
“Thankfully, no individual sustained any injuries. The entire team is currently safe in Obuasi.”
