Bechem United coach, Kasim Mingle, has expressed his disappointment with how the Ghana Premier League concluded for his club.
On the final day, Medeama SC emerged as champions, securing their place as the 12th team ever to win the title. They fended off competition from Bechem United, the only other side with a chance of winning on the last day.
Leading up to the final days of the competition, Bechem United displayed consistency and put pressure on the initial league leaders, Aduana Stars. However, Medeama unexpectedly surged ahead and accomplished a historic feat, ending the Western region’s 46-year title drought.

Unfortunately, Bechem United suffered a narrow defeat to 10-man Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park, dashing their hopes of claiming the title away.
“It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t win. We believed we would have won based on our performance. This season, we played even better than last season and felt we had a chance to win the league,” expressed Kasim Mingle, the coach of Bechem United.

Bechem United, who entered the final day three points behind Medeama and in second place, concluded the season in the third position, with Aduana Stars securing the second spot.
