Per reports gathered from GHANAsoccernet Fabio Gama is a big doubt for Asante Kotoko ahead of the super clash game against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Brazilian has not featured for Kotoko in the last eight matches due to injury and in spite of all effort to train early this week, the Porcupine Warriors will still put him on hold and won’t be added to the match day squad.
Gama has played eight matches so far and has made one assist.
Likewise Isaac Oppong, Kotoko are likely to be without him for the super clash. The phenomenal attacker who was unplayable in the early beginning of the season is injured in the ankle and hasn’t been in action since early December.
Oppong has not played in the last 10 games for Kotoko who is six points clear leading at the highest spot of the league table.
Oppong, just like Fabio Gama, continued his training this week, but, he will not be gambled against the Continental Master (Phobians) at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In the interim, midfielder meastro Salifu Mudasiru who couldn’t play in the 3-1 home win over Accra Lions last week Saturday due to ailment is expected to report and join the team for first Super Clash of the campaign of the season.
Kotoko are hoping to retaliate last season’s defeat in Accra that saw them lose the prestigious league title to their rivals Hearts. A win will see them stretch their lead to 15 points gap over Hearts.
