However, local media sources suggest that the duo has withdrawn from the team without disclosing the reasons behind their decision.

Currently, the Black Meteors are in Egypt, where they are diligently preparing for the upcoming U-23 AFCON, set to take place in Egypt as well. Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side recently played a friendly match against Egypt, resulting in a 1-1 draw. As part of their preparations, they will now face Zamalek, a prominent Egyptian team, in a test match.

Ghana has been placed in Group A for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations and is scheduled to compete against strong opponents such as Morocco, Guinea, and Congo. The tournament is slated to commence from June 24 and will run until July 8, 2023.
