Tony Aubynn, the board chairman of Medeama SC, has shared the club’s ambitious goal of reaching the prestigious CAF Champions League, even though their participation in the upcoming season has not been confirmed yet.

If Medeama secures victory in the Ghana Premier League, they will qualify for the CAF Champions League. Currently leading the table with 57 points, three more than second-placed Bechem United, Medeama is in a strong position to claim the title and secure an automatic spot in the tournament.

Their final match against Tamale City at Akoon Park will determine their fate. A win or draw would crown Medeama as champions and ensure their qualification for the CAF Champions League.

Tony Aubynn, who also serves as the chairman of the Black Galaxies management committee, expressed the team’s desire to reach the lucrative stage of the competition. He emphasized the importance of making it to the “money zone” before thinking about winning the ultimate prize.

While aiming for the ultimate victory, Aubynn believes that reaching the money zone is a realistic target. He explained that investing effort and resources without achieving that would be a disappointment.

“We are confident of winning the league. We feel that we have been unfortunate in the past, considering the league was truncated during the normalisation period when we were in a comfortable lead,” Aubynn expressed.
