Breaking: Hafiz Konkoni of Bechem United handed a late Black Stars Call-Up by Chris Hughton

Ghana’s coach, Chris Hughton, has selected Bechem United forward Hafiz Konkoni to join the squad for the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar, scheduled for next weekend.

Konkoni will join the team on Monday and participate in preparations for the crucial AFCON match in Antananarivo. With Konkoni’s inclusion, the squad now consists of 25 players as Ghana aims to secure victory and secure their place in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

During the recently concluded betPawa Premier League season, Hafiz Konkoni showcased his skills, playing in 26 matches and scoring an impressive 15 goals for Bechem United.

The Ghana national team will face Madagascar in Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
