Hearts of Oak is close to finalizing the signing of Cameroon striker Junior Kaaba ahead of next season, Blessonemps can exclusively reveal.
The Phobians have concluded negotiations with Fauvre Azur Elite FC about the transfer of their favorite striker because he has been invited to a medical examination.
He is expected to be in the country in the coming days to complete his medical before putting pen to paper to stamp his move. Kaaba made several appearances in Cameroon’s first matches at the Elite One Championship, which began in March, where he scored seven goals.
The 23-year-old finished the 22122 season scoring 11 goals and most impressively he had five assists during his time with his club Fauvre Azur in the recently concluded tournament.
Kaaba is also a target for Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman, who are also interested in the player’s profile but the Ghanaian giants have won the race for him.
However, Kaaba is keen to play in the Ghana Premier League after a successful campaign by compatriots Georges Mfegue Omgba and Franck Mbella Etouga for bitter rivals Asante Kotoko in Ghana’s top flight this season.
Kaaba has been commended by Cameroon head coach Rigobert Song, for his stellar start to the season, as he cuts the list of 25 local players who have had to camp since May
