Breaking News: Nottingham Forest sack black stars captain
English Premier League side Nottingham Forest have ended their relationship with Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew in mainly what is dubbed as poor performance in the just-finished campaign.
The 33 year old joined the Reds in the last winter transfer window after parting ways with Qatari giants Al Sadd.
The versatile forward wasn’t really impressive during his stay at the City Grounds where he made only 13 appearances with no goal contribution.
Despite his ill display, Steve Cooper’s men managed to secure survival after making a 16th position finish on the league log with 38 points and will hope for an upgrade of this next season.
With this, some players who couldn’t impress the technical team have been released including Black Stars captain Andre Ayew. Also on the list is Cafu, Jack Colback, Jordan Smith, Lyle Taylor and ex- Man United midfielder Jesse Lindgard.
Andre Ayew will search for new destination in the coming summer transfer window which is due to be opened in few weeks.
He has once again been included in coach Chris Hughton’s squad the AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar later this month.
