Charles Taylor: The worse national team I have ever seen is the current Black…..

TAYLOR

Renowned former footballer, Charles Taylor, has expressed his disappointment with the current Black Meteors team, labeling it as the worst he has ever witnessed in Ghanaian football.

The Ghana U23 team failed to advance past the group stage in the tournament, consequently missing out on qualification for the Paris Olympic Games next year.

Throughout the competition, the Black Meteors managed to secure just one victory, a tense 3-2 win against Congo. However, they suffered a devastating 5-1 defeat to Morocco and could only manage a 1-1 draw against Guinea in a crucial must-win match. In total, they conceded eight goals in three games.

“I believe there is more quality within the Black Meteors than the Black Stars. The Meteors are just one step away from the Black Stars, and there are many talented players within the team,” Taylor commented.

“These players are likely to represent the Black Stars in the future. However, with the current crop of players, I can confidently say that this is the weakest under-23 team I have ever witnessed in my life,” he added.

Taylor emphasized the lack of quality and talent among the players, noting that none of them demonstrate exceptional skills or stand out on the field. He expressed his sadness regarding the current state of affairs.

The criticism from an experienced figure like Charles Taylor highlights the need for improvement and development within the Black Meteors team in order to produce stronger talent for Ghanaian football in the coming years.
