Chelsea identify Ghanaian defender as perfect replacement for Antonio Rudiger should he leave in the summer
English giants Chelsea FC have identified Ghana and Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu as the perfect player to replace Antonio Rudiger should he decide to leave in the summer.

The ex- AS Roma star has been an integral member of the Chelsea set up in Tuchel’s reign but currently are at risk of losing him for free in the summer since he is still yet to extend his contract.
However, with negotiations still ongoing, the Blues have also set sights on a 22 year old stalwart defender whom they see as the perfect successor should Rudiger leaves.
Mohammed Salisu has been a mainstay for Southampton since last season making him one of the fans favourite at the St Mary’s Park, having gone on to make an incredible 29 appearances in the Premier League.
However, he is still reluctant on playing for the Ghana national team even as at now and has turned down several call ups, citing unreadiness as his problem.
The Ghana FA per reports, are still making efforts to lure him for the Black Stars before the commencement of the 2022 World Cup which will be held in Qatar later this year.
