Ghana legend, Asamoah Gyan has confessed Asante Kotoko fans got him really hurt when they booed him last season.

Gyan, 33, was booed by the supporters when Legon Cities came to the Baba Yara Stadium last season.
The ex- Black Stars skipper was very nearly joining Asante kotoko last season, before Legon Cities beat them to his mark
Speaking to Asaase Radio, the former Udinese and Sunderland forward has admitted those shout from the Kotoko fans got him hurt and left him in pain, having gotten that from the faithfuls of his beloved club. He said;
“To be honest, when Legon Cities played against Asante Kotoko and my own Kotoko fans booed me, to be honest that really hurt.”
“I got over it and realised that it is all love; it did hurt though.”
