EXCLUSIVE: Asante Kotoko suspend ex- Atalanta defender for gross misconduct

Ghana Premier League heavyweights Asante Kotoko have suspended left-back Patrick Asmah for rest of the 2021/22 season for absurd offence.

The board of Asante Kotoko composed a letter of suspension to the 26-year-old protector asking him not to participate in the clubs’ first-group obligations until additional notice.

According to speculations, the ex-Atalanta defender had a strong and angry argument with Kotoko’s technical team drove by Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum after their home loss to Legon Cities mainly because of lack of playing time.

“Yes, I have received a communique from the technical team that I have been suspended for the rest of the season.”

The former Black Satellites left back has made only ten appearances for the Porcupine Warriors so far this season.
