‘No member of the Black Stars has tested positive for COVID-19.’ – Ghana Football Association communications director Henry Asante

According to Ghana Football Association communication director Henry Asante Twum, claims about a positive Covid-19 case at the Black Stars camp are false.

According to the GFA’s communication director, the media reports are false and should not be taken seriously because no player has tested positive for COVID-19.

“There are currently 18 players in the Black Stars camp in Japan.” As reported in the media, there is no COVID-19 case in our camp.”

“Gideon Mensah is out of the Black Stars squad due to injury.” He complained about an injury after our game against CAR, and the medical staff decided to give him some rest time because he had a long season in France as well.

“Even while the Black Stars team was in Cape Coast, Daniel Kofi Kyereh was receiving calls from his agent.” The agent contacted the technical team, who decided to let him go in order to complete his transfer move out.

“Daniel Afriyie and Christopher Antwi Adjei arrived at the Black Stars camp on Wednesday and trained with the team this morning,” he told Oyerepa FM.
