Athletico Bilbao forward, Inaki Williams per reports, has agreed to naturalize and represent Ghana at national level after serious interrogations with the Ghana FA.
The 26 year old, has a very strong Ghanaian decent but was born and raised in Spain, where he’s probably lived all his life and to this point of his career.
At national level, he’s made just one appearance for the Spanish national team and is still eligible to change his mind and play for a different country.
However, he chose to represent the Basque country in 2018 and has already made two appearances for them though they are yet to be recognized by FIFA.
According to reports, the GFA have opened talks with him and his younger brother Nico, and has gotten in advance which could likely lure them for the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The competition will commence in November this year and Ghana has been placed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and two time world champions Uruguay.
