EXCLUSIVE: Nigeria head coach Austin Eguavoen steps down after World Cup qualification failure
Nigeria national team head coach, Augustine Eguavoen has ventured down from his job following his inability to qualify the team to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The interim Nigerian coach, won’t only resign from the national but is stepping down as the Technical Director of the Nigerian FA, Brilla FM reports.
The NFF had given a two-year agreement to Eguavoen two days before the principal leg of the World Cup set up to contend with Ghana.
The three time champions have been in mess for sometime now having suffered a round of 16 elimination at the AFCON and also failed to make it to the next biggest global football event.
The Nigerian FA are expected a new head coach in the coming weeks.
