Former Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong advice Kotoko management on how to handle coach issues

Amos Frimpong, a former captain of the Asante Kotoko football club, has urged the club’s management to act quickly in appointing a new head coach ahead of the upcoming season. Frimpong believes that the club’s delayed appointment of a new coach last season contributed to their underwhelming performance in the just-concluded season, during which they finished 4th in the Betpawa Premier League and were eliminated in the fourth round of the MTN FA Cup.

Frimpong argues that appointing a coach early and allowing them to oversee recruitment before the season begins would increase the likelihood of success in the upcoming season. He emphasized the importance of the coach being able to select players that fit their system and style of play.

“I plead with management to appoint a coach early so that he can do his own recruitment and select players that will fit his system,” Frimpong said in an interview with Kessben TV.

Frimpong’s please highlights the critical role that a head coach plays in the success of a football club, particularly in terms of player recruitment and team strategy. By appointing a new coach early and allowing them to build their team before the start of the season, Asante Kotoko can increase their chances of success in the upcoming season.
