Berekum Chelsea have extended their unbeaten run to nine after holding Eleven Wonders to a stalemate in a pulsating week 19 tie at the Ohene Ameyaw Akumfi Park.
The visitors started the game on a higher note after breaking the deadlock in just a minute from kickoff.
Edwin Kuffour nipped on a loose clearance to sets up Osei Owusu who calmly lobbed over goalkeeper Ibrahim Abdulai to break the deadlock of the game.
Eleven Wonders with a quick recovery after going down but Michael Yeboah’s volley from Osman Zakaria’ cross went across the face of goal for a goalkick.
They broke again on the left, Boahen sent in a deep cross but Osman Zakaria’s towering header from far post went wide for a restart.
Just on the stroke of half time, Sumaila Moro nipped on a lose punch from goalkeeper Gregory to slot into the net above a pool of defenders to get the home team back on level.
In the second half, Berekum Chelsea again looked very dangerous with their attacks but putting the ball at the back of the net was always a heck for them.
Eleven Wonders had a very great opportunity on the 80th minute to snatch the lead for the first time but skipper Tetteh Nortey headed wide from close range. What a miss it was!
Exactly seven minutes after, the travellers also had similar chance but substitute Emmanuel Sarpong volley was too feeble to surpass goalkeeper Obeng Sekyere Gregory.
After series of exchanges with no goal registered in the second department, referee Ali Musah whistled to end the game.
