Great News: Black Stars Nicholas Opoku completely recovers from injury and has joined First Team Squad.

The Black Stars have been given a lift ahead of the 2022 World Cup playoff against Nigeria as the Center-Back Nicholas Opoku has completely recovered from a serious injury.

Opoku Nicholas has been announced fit to play for Amiens and was name for their matchday squad for the first time after his injury.

24-year-old Opoku, however, was on the bench during the 1-0 triumph against Nancy in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday night.

Opoku had been inaccessible since July 2020 when he went through a medical surgery for a cruciate tendon injury.

The injury kept him down and out until January this year when he began playing for the Amiens reserve Team.

After thoroughly assessment for quite a while, the Medical Team pronounced him completely prepared and fit to join the main squad.

This injury blow push Nicholas Opoku out of Ghana’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations competition in Cameroon recently.

Opoku has scored one goal in 12 appearances for the Black Stars.

Ghana will host Nigeria on March 25, 2022 at the Cape Coast Stadium with the return leg set to happen in Abuja on March 29.The victor of the tie will be in Qatar for the World Cup.
