Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, also known as Michael Owusu Addo, has responded to his ex-girlfriend Yvonne Nelson’s accusations of impregnating her and not taking responsibility. Yvonne Nelson had revealed in her recent book, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ that she had aborted her first pregnancy because she did not want to give birth to a child whose father refused to accept responsibility.

In his latest single titled ‘Try Me [Raw],’ Sarkodie addresses the issue and claims that he actually asked Yvonne Nelson to keep the pregnancy, even though he wasn’t ready to be a father.

Sarkodie raps in the first verse of the song, “Yes, I wasn’t ready, but then I told you to keep it. So don’t make it seem like I was pushing you for abortion.”

He acknowledges that Yvonne Nelson’s book gained attention due to the negative aspects she revealed, stating, “Not because your book is entirely correct, but we are living in a world where negativity sells.”

Sarkodie advises Yvonne Nelson to take responsibility for her choices and not blame others, saying, “Nobody is the reason for your poor choices in life” and asks her to “stop the personal attacks.”
