INTERESTING: African female referee gets FIFA appointment to handle matches at the 2022 World Cup; Get to know her name and country
FIFA have named Rwandan official, Salima Mukansanga as part of their referees to officiate at the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

She becomes part of the only three female referees selected by the world football governing body to handle matches at the men’s world cup at senior level.
She has been outstanding and undoubtedly the best referee in the women’s game on the continent having also handled matches in the 2021 AFCON which was held early this year.
Also, she also handled matches at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
The 2022 World Cup is expected to commence in November this year.
