Joseph Paintsil, the talented winger for the Black Stars, has expressed his interest in playing in the English Premier League in the future. However, he emphasizes that the success of any potential move will primarily depend on his agent’s efforts.

Despite having three years remaining on his current contract, Paintsil has garnered attention from several English teams, including Brentford, Fulham, and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Adding fuel to the rumors, the Genk forward has stated his desire to compete in the English top flight, considering it as “the best league” in the world.

“In terms of football, it’s the responsibility of my agent. I’ve already done what I need to do. So, I’ll leave it to my agent and the club to decide,” Paintsil shared. He also expressed his eagerness for English teams to approach him, enabling him to showcase his abilities and wholehearted commitment to whichever club he joins.

When asked about the possibility of joining his fellow countryman Thomas Partey at Arsenal, Paintsil responded with excitement, saying, “Really? I hope it happens.”

The Ghanaian winger had an exceptional season in Belgium’s top flight, scoring 18 goals and providing 14 assists, helping his team qualify for the UEFA Champions League despite narrowly missing out on the title on the final day.

Paintsil will soon join Chris Hughton’s squad as the Black Stars prepare for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Madagascar.
