JUST IN: Israeli club set to sign Asante Kotoko top target

Maccabi Tell Aviv are in advanced talk to sign former Accra Hearts of Oak defender Mohammed Alhassan on a free transfer.


Mohammed Alhassan was linked to Kumasi Asante Kotoko after the Phobians terminated his contract.


The Stalwart defender helped Accra Hearts of Oak to won the GPL League, two FA Cup, the President Cups and the two Super Cup during his five years under Samuel Boadu.


According to Blessonemps.com the Maccabi Tel Aviv have shown their interest to sign the center back. The report further states that Mohammed Alhassan is set to be on a €6000 wage bill an amount which cannot be afford by the Porcupine Warriors.

Mohammed Alhassan was part of the Black Galaxies squad that eliminated Benin and Nigeria to secure qualification to the 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria.


However, he didn’t make the final squad for the tournament which was started in a few days time.
