Akim Oda-based side Kotoku Royals have gained promotion into the Ghana Premier League next season after finishing as winners of division one Zone three earlier today.

The Blue Blacks held Tema Youth to a pulsating goalless drawn game at the Tema Sports Stadium in the final fixture of the season.

Both teams were all vying for a topflight spot heading into the game so as Liberty Professionals leaving a very close contest in the zone heading into the final day.
The Royals emerged victorious with 63 points in the end after grinding nineteen wins, six draws and five defeats- an output which was enough to earn them promotion into the topflight.
On the other hand, Liberty Professionals who also had their sights set on qualification but got held and frustrated by Susubiribi United when they needed only a win to achieve that.
Congratulations to Kotoku Royals. They will play in the topflight in the 2022/23 season.
