Prosper Harrison Addo, the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), stated that they are on the verge of wrapping up talks with Otto Addo, Chris Hughton, George Boateng, and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani to be maintained as the Black Stars technical team for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations are scheduled to take place in Ghana.

In spite of the fact that they were not able to compete in the worldwide tournament that was held in Russia in 2018, these four players were able to ensure Ghana’s qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup by defeating Nigeria in a two-legged tie in March.
As a result of the qualification, there have been appeals to keep the quartet together for the Mundial, which will be held by Qatar later this month.

Nevertheless, when asked about it in an interview, Harrison Addo disclosed that negotiations to ratify the quartet as the technical staff for the Black Stars are entering their final phases in front of the qualifiers.
“The foursome who helped us qualify for the competition will continue to perform together. “We need to work on the modalities of staying with the team in order to go to the World Cup, and so we have been working on it, engaging them positively, and they have been positive so far,” he said to Joy Sports. “So therefore, we need to work on the modalities of staying with the team in order to go to the World Cup.”
“At this point in the engagements, we are in the home stretch. The procedures are designed in such a way that you must first complete the engagements and then coordinate your efforts with the Ministry of Youth and Sports before receiving permission to proceed. Be at ease knowing that the string quartet will be here to join us. They will organize and carry out not only the future matches but also the tournament involving all four nations that will take place [in Japan].
