The two major clubs in the Ghana premier league, Kumasi Asante kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, play a cup match prior to the start of each league season to help the players get ready for the upcoming one.
It was scheduled to take place on September 5 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi this season, however it has been postponed.
The cancellation was made because Kumasi Asante kotoko needed extra time to prepare for their trip to play in the first round of the CAF Champions League prelims on September 9, 2022.
While Accra Hearts of Oak also has five of its players in the Black Galaxies, and it may take them some time to reintegrate with their clubs.
This explains why the super match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, which was scheduled to take place on September 5, 2022, has been postponed.
