‘My players are scared’ – Prosper Narteh fumes

Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum has fumed over the performance of his players after their defeat over the weekend.

The Porcupine Warriors last Sunday failed to extend their lead at the summit of the league after losing narrowly to Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium in match-week 30.

It was a game many believed it was over for the Bibires who were outplayed entirely in the game and also suffered a numerical disadvantage but managed to carry the day after Kelvin Obeng’s beautiful finish on the 79th minute.

Speaking after the game, the Educationalist has urged his players to gather courage when playing at home and has also called on their supporters to rally behind the team in the closing part of the season. He said;

“I think the players need to gather the courage to be able to play in such situations, they need to be confident, you can’t play Kotoko and can’t play on your own home grounds, they need courage.”

“We also need the supporters, this is a league and these things happen, we need the fans now, I will plead with them to be behind us and cut out blame games.”

Asante Kotoko will face Medeama SC at the Akoon Park in the next round of matches.
