Asante Kotoko has canceled their scheduled pre-season tour in Turkey due to visa issues.I nstead, the club travels to Sudan for 10 days to prepare for the 2022/2023 season.

The Porcupine Warriors had planned to travel to the European country for the second phase of their preparation, where they would play a friendly against Nigerian Rivers United.
But on Sunday the club said: “Our planned trip to Turkey for the second phase of our pre-season has been canceled due to visa delay issues.”

The club therefore chose to travel to Sudan from 21 August 2022 to 1 September 2022 for the second phase of our preseason.

“We will play strategic friendlies with other opponents who have qualified for CAF competitions.”

The Ghanaian champions will start their campaign on the second weekend of September, when they face the Burkinabe team Rail Club de Kadiogo in the first round of the CAF Champions League.
