The return of Nicholas Opoku has handed a massive boost for the Black Stars of Ghana after a returning to the pitch over six-month injury sideline.
The 24 year old featured for the Amiens side’s reserves for the first time since he was layoff back in July 2021.
The Amiens SC center-back returned for preseason after Ghana’s international friendlies against Ivory Coast and Morocco .
Unfortunately, the player was diagnosed of a knee problem which ruled him out for several months.
Nicholas Opoku picked up an injury whiles playing for Amiens in a Ligue II game against Rodez last season, but fortunately for him he returned to fitness before the end of the campaign.
He was then named in Ghana’s squad for the international friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast.
His return is timely for Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup playoffs against rivals Nigeria in March.
