Real Mallorca and Ghana’s midfielder Baba Iddrisu collapses on the pitch after head injury
Real Mallorca midfielder Baba Iddrisu was taken to medical center after failing to get back from a head injury sustained during his Mallorca’s 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the La Liga on Sunday night.
The 26- year-old fell to the ground after a challenge from France midfielder Thomas Benoît Lemar.
Iddrisu’s teammate hurried to his aid and called for medical assistance for the Ghanaian midfielder who had totally gone off.
It took four minutes for the medical team to revitalize the Ghanaian whose face caught a dreadful shot from Lemar in the box as the Rojiblancos aimed an equalizer.
The Black Stars midfielder in redeeming his duty for Mallorca inadvertently met the shot which sent him breaking down onto the turf.
He was instantly rushed to the medical center after being stretchered off the pitch for additional assessment.
The midfielder featured prominently for Ghana as they secured qualification to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Baba has a contract until June 2024, and is a pivotal player for the Spanish outfit Real Marllorca having made 23 La Liga appearances so far this season.
