Kevin-Prince Boateng has expressed his delight at helping Hertha Berlin move further away from the relegation zone following a crucial victory over fellow strugglers VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.

The Ghana international started and played for more than an hour as Hertha Berlin defeated Stuttgart 2-0 at home to make it back-to-back victories in their last two games in all competitions.
With the win, they move four points clear of the relegation zone.
The manager of the capital-based club, who is battling to keep them in the Bundesliga, tweeted after the game: “Exactly so and not.”

Davie Selke opened the scoring for Hertha Berlin just four minutes into the game, putting the team on the road to victory.
Isak Belfodil, who came on as a substitute for Boateng in the 64th minute, sealed the win with an injury-time goal.
In the final three games of Felix Magath’s team, Boateng will play an important role after enduring a difficult campaign.
Kevin-Prince Boateng has made 15 appearances for the club since returning from a loan spell in Italy in the summer of 2017.
