Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC defender Samuel Inkoom claims that after consuming Apples provided to them in Algeria, club members became disoriented.

The defender for Accra Hearts of Oak SC claimed that Asante Kotoko players were confused after eating apples that were offered to them by their Algerian opponents.

He claimed that the Kumasi-based club encountered an unusual treatment in the northern portion of Africa while in Algeria to compete in the Africa Intercontinental Club Competition.

Hearts of Oak right-back Inkoom spoke with Asempa FM about traveling to Algeria with Kotoko and receiving apples in the changing rooms. We felt lightheaded for 20 minutes after eating it as we warmed up.

Inkoom was a reliable player for Kotoko in the latter part of the 2000s, and he has spoken about his Champions and Confederation Cup encounters with North African opponents.

After defeating Bechem United FC to win the coveted MTN FA CUP trophy, he is likely to play for the Phobians in the CAF Confederation Cup competition this season.
