Ghanaian dancehall artist born Livingston Etse Satekla popularly known by his stage name Stonebwoy has shown a kind gesture towards veteran Ghanaian rapper Tinny. Tinny was recently in the news after an event planner complained to him at the Taifa police Station in Accra for taking money to perform at an event in the oti region.
The event planner who goes by the name Yaw Menkasa revealed he paid the rapper a sum of ghc2,000 to perform at an event in the oti region. However, after the rapper received the said amount he refused to honor the invitation and refund the money as well.
Stonebwoy is enjoying the best of this year as he keeps reaching milestones. He grabbed three awards at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana music awards (vgma) and also got signed to one of the best record labels in Africa Defjam recordings.
The Board of the record label has pledged to make sure they make Stonebwoy a global artist. Congratulations to Stonebwoy on his award win and a new record deal.
He went on to complain the rapper at the Taifa police station, Tinny got his car being seized by the police after he presented himself to the police concerning the matter. The police asked him to refund the money by Monday, May 9, or he will be arrested and put in custody.
After the news went viral, dancehall artist Stonebwoy pledged to pay the money in full. He honored his words and gave the said amount to Hitz Fm’s presenter Prince Tsegah to give the money to Yaw Menkasa. Fans have showered praises on stonebwoy for his generous gesture towards Tinny.
