Thomas Tuchel gives the reason behind the exclusion of Baba Rahman from the preseason tour

Baba Rahman, a defender for the Black Stars, was not included in the 29-man Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel’s team that departed England for a preseason tour of America ahead of the new season.

Baba Rahman was not included in the preseason team; Chelsea has not stated why.

Several teams in the UK and overseas are interested in the defender, who has two years left on his Chelsea deal. Baba Rahman signed a five-year contract with Chelsea on August 16, 2015, for an undisclosed sum that was reportedly initially £14 million and may go as high as approximately £22 million.

The 27-year-old made his UEFA Champions League debut on September 16 in a match against Maccabi Tel, playing the entire 90 minutes.
