VAR or No VAR? Find out more about the measures put in place ahead of Ghana’s World Cup playoff in Kumasi

The Baba Yara Sports arena, the adopted home ground of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been given the green light to host the game between the two West African gaints after the Cape Coast studium was boycotted by CAF authorities.

The world cup playoff match between Ghana and Nigeria is edging closer and Video Assistant Referee devices have been made available in Kumasi for installation ahead of the Titan Clash between Ghana and Nigeria in the World Cup playoff which is one week from now.

The inspection group’s from CAF has approved the Baba Yara studium and has instructed the installation of the Video Assistant Referee(VAR).

All World Cup playoff matches on the continent will have VAR.

On Wednesday, March 16 Ghana didn’t have a home ground to host leg. CAF needed to send an inspection official group to examine Baba Yara Stadium before it is endorsed.

The Cape Coast Stadium,was initially set to be the game venue until it was later dismissed by CAF after pictures arose of the awful condition after the 65th Independence Anniversary Parade.

Baba Yara Stadium has been endorsed however a ton should be done in no less than 10 days, as expressed by CAF in their letter to the GFA.
