VIDEO: 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers: MALIAN JOURNALIST journalist warns Ghana and Mali not to underrate any team in Group I
Malian Journalist Salif Diakite has cautioned the Black Stars not to underrate their group opponent ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana would face Madagascar, Mali and Central African Republic And Chad for the qualifiers
Reacting to the draw, Salif Diakite who’s a Sports Journalist at ORTM, has warned Black Stars and Mali National team against underestimating their opponents.

I think the draw is good draw for Mali because Mali have a big chance or opportunity to discover next World Cup.We all know Mali has never participated in the world cup as Ghana has made four appearances in the world cup.
Ghana is the favourite of the group so i think the only countries that have a bigger chance to qualify in the group is Ghana and Mali.
Mali have good talent and quality players but Ghana have experience in playing the World cup qualifier because they’ve make four appearances.
However,Ghana and Mali must not underrate the other countries in the group.
The Ghana team is in transition now, they have young generation as well as Mali but if Mali win its home and away games with Ghana then I think Mali will make it to their first appearance at the World cup.I have the belief Mali will book its first ever ticket to the 2026 World Cup.
