In the first Super clash game of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu says his team will be ready to face archrivals Asante Kotoko.
On Sunday, February 20, 2022, kickoff takes place at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Asante Kotoko leads the first round of the season by 12 points heading into this weekend’s showdown.
The Porcupine Warriors are enjoying a good run under head coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum ahead of the big game. Frank Mbella scored a hat trick as Kotoko beat Accra Lions 3-1 on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Even though the league leaders pose a threat to Hearts of Oak, coach Samuel Boadu is unfazed.
Afterwards, Boadu told StarTimes, “Absolutely we don’t care who we face in our next game.”
There’s a lot of competition out there. In addition, he said, “We will correct our mistakes and work extra hard to play the Kotoko match.”
Samuel Boadu is yet to taste defeat against Asante Kotoko as head coach of Hearts of Oak.
Hearts of Oak’s hopes of defending their Ghana Premier League title this season could be dashed by a defeat.
